in 2003, during a brief hiatus in the  extended life of the ‘old’ band, Paul Clark, Marion Hill, Brad Bradstock and Sue Malleson formed ‘4MK’. The aim was to present the repertoire of the The Living Archive Band in a more intimate, acoustic fashion.

In 2004 Kevin Adams re-joined, rendering the name 4MK redundant. The Living Archive Band name was dusted down and put back to work.

This line-up has gone on to develop a series of themed concerts combining songs and spoken-word excerpts, and has recorded a definitive two volume CD set featuring thirty of the most popular Living Archive songs.

Shows have included a reflection on ‘Milton Keynes at War’, the celebratory ‘Milton Keynes at 40’ and performances highlighting Stony Stratford and Bletchley. Most recently a series of concerts entitled ‘New Communities’ has been launched with the help of funding from the Milton Keynes Community Foundation.

Most recently the band has been augmented by two fine musicians, Godfrey Yeomans and Dave Crawford. They  originally signed on to cover for Paul and Kevin, who have both been unwell. However their participation has added so much that they seem to have become essential fixtures in the line-up!
