Sue Malleson

Sue’s aunt taught Morris dancing, her father was a folk drummer, her mother sang, and her brother still is a local folk-fiddling hero. She formed a 3-girl harmony group in the ‘60s, The Cedarfolk. In the ‘70s, she sang with ‘Poachers’ Folly, and ran the Black Horse Folk Club and Festival - before discovering with the Gaberlunzies tyrannical tendencies as a barn-dance caller.

Sue sang in Stantonbury’s Candleford and joined the Living Archive Band in 1999 for All Change.

An indispensable member of the local scene from church madrigals to a cappella folk, Sue has developed a website for her native Bow Brickhill arousing world interest. She runs a PR business in Stony Stratford.
